DIRTVision.com: Changing the Game

CONCORD, NC – December 13, 2018 – It was about this time last year when DIRTVision.com began materializing a way to make a dream – broadcasting every single World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series race – a reality. Thousands of miles, dozens of rainouts and 72 races later and DIRTVision.com has changed the landscape of digital media in the dirt track racing world forever and became an incredible asset to all parties associated with the World of Outlaws.

As a fan, car owner, parent, or even driver connected with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, DIRTVision has become an invaluable luxury.

“It has been great to be able to watch Sheldon [Haudenschild] either at home on the big screen or on our phone if Jac is racing on the same night,” Patty Haudenschild, mother of five-time World of Outlaws winner Sheldon and wife of National Sprint Car Hall of Fame member and 72-time Outlaw winner, Jac, said in appreciation of DIRTVision.

“Jac and Sheldon will usually talk at the end of each night and Jac is grateful for the opportunity to watch and help coach no matter where he is. If it wasn’t for DIRTVision, none of this would possible. When Jac retires, hopefully we will get to go and watch live, but until then, we are blessed to be able to watch our son race,” Patty added sincerely in regard to DIRTVision.com.

Additionally, many of the car owners on the World of Outlaws tour are engulfed in hectic lives that prevent them from watching their car live on a regular basis.

“As a car owner who would love to be at the track every night but can’t, this will really help me follow along and help from a distance when I can,” Kyle Larson said prior to the 2018 season after finding out DIRTVision was broadcasting every race live.

“We were very appreciative of DIRTVision this year. It’s been a game-changer for a lot of people, including us. A romantic date has become our iPad, a candlelight dinner and DIRTVision,” Richard Marshall, co-car-owner of the Stenhouse Jr.-Marshall No.17 team, added at the 2018 World of Outlaws Banquet.

A year ago, the details on broadcasting every race were still being ironed out and if you were already committed to running the grueling World of Outlaws tour, the announcement came as a welcome supplement. Fast forward to today, with a full year of daily broadcasts across the country under their belt, and DIRTVision has become a primary reason for a longtime car owner to return to the World of Outlaws full time.

A feverish offseason of team changes left 2013 World of Outlaws Champion and nine-time winner in 2018, Daryn Pittman, on the outside looking in for the 2019 campaign. That was only until Dennis Roth was ready to put the pieces in motion to return to the World of Outlaws tour full-time with the Owasso, OK native as his pilot.

“Dennis told me he doesn’t think he will be able to travel as much this year and a lot of the reasoning behind going back out on the road full-time was the best chance he felt he could watch his car race was to watch it on DIRTVision every night,” Pittman said at the PRI trade show last week.

“Everything that has been happening with DIRTVision over the past year, broadcasting every race, the quality, you can’t say enough good things about it. I think we always think it’s a cool tool for our sponsors to get them more exposure but for a car owner to say, I’m going to commit 100% to the World of Outlaws tour because of DIRTVision is an avenue that I’m not really sure anyone could have foreseen,” Pittman added in gratitude.

There’s no doubt that DIRTVision in 2018 was a major success and 2019 looks even brighter. In addition to broadcasting every World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series race, DIRTVision will broadcast every World of Outlaws Late Model Series event and have exclusive rights to Knoxville Raceway, meaning the 2019 Knoxville Nationals will streamed live on DIRTVision. Not a bad accomplishment for a small team of five individuals, spearheaded by Director of Broadcast Brian Dunlap, who has been with the World of Outlaws and DIRTVision since 2004.

As dirt track racing as a whole continues to enjoy its massive spike in public interest the World of Outlaws are once again setting the standard, this time, thanks to DIRTVision. The future is bright and the sky is the limit.
