GRAND FORKS, ND — August 13, 2018 —The 2nd Leg of the Gerdau Recycling Northern Tour for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series takes to the track on Friday, August 17 at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D. Donny Schatz was victorious in the 1st Leg of the Northern Tour in June, which marked his sixth win in the last seven World of Outlaws races at the track and 10th overall, which leads all drivers. Also in action will be the NLRA Late Model Series. WEST FARGO, ND — August 14, 2018 —The Gerdau Recycling Duel in the Dakotas is just around the corner for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, N.D., on Saturday, August 18. The series returned to the three-eighths-mile last year, after a five-year hiatus. The late Jason Johnson added his name to the record books as a winner at Red River Valley Speedway. The event this season will mark the fourth and final race of the season for the series in the state of North Dakota. This edition of Up to Speed sets the stage for this year’s Duel in the Dakotas for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at Red River Valley Speedway.

Outlaws Look to the West 

Nine days of racing in 16 days on the West Coast lie ahead

CONCORD, NC — August 10, 2018 — After a month in the Midwest, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series makes its way west for the annual fall swing, featuring nine races in 16 days in Washington, Oregon and California.

The trip begins with the Outlaw Energy Showdown, a two-day event on the high-banked 3/8-mile bullring at Skagit Speedway, Friday, August 31 to Saturday, September 1. Last year, 2015 winner Shane Stewart did a repeat on night one, taking his Larson/Marks Racing No. 2 machine through the checkers. This was the start of a great stretch for Stewart, which he’ll be looking to repeat this season with only one win to his credit.

World of Outlaws invade Red River Valley Speedway on August 18

WEST FARGO, ND — August 9, 2018 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series invades Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND, on Saturday, August 18 for the Gerdau Recycling Duel in the Dakotas.

The late Jason Johnson was victorious at Red River Valley Speedway last year in his debut at the track. The 2016 winner of the Knoxville Nationals held off a hard-charging Kerry Madsen and Donny Schatz for the win.

Outlaws Begin Trek to West Coast with Return to Black Hills Speedway on August 24

CONCORD, NC – August 2, 2018 – The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series makes its lone visit of the 40th Anniversary Season to South Dakota with a return to the scenic Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, SD on Friday, August 24.

The 2017 edition of the Rushmore Outlaw Showdown was one to remember as Shane Stewart held off a hard-charging Sheldon Haudenschild to score the victory. Stewart, who self-admittedly has had a forgettable first half of the season, is anxious to get back to Black Hills.

Auction to Benefit Johnson Family Set for Friday, August 10th during Knoxville Nationals

KNOXVILLE, IA – August 1, 2018 – Due to the increased amount of generosity what was scheduled to be just a live auction, in benefit for the Johnson Family, will now also include a silent auction. In conjunction with the 5-Hour ENERGY Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway, the auction will be held on Friday, August 10th from 9am-12pm in Dyer Hudson Hall at the Marion County Fairgrounds. All proceeds will be donated to the family of the 2016 Knoxville Nationals Champion Jason Johnson, Bobbi and five-year-old son Jaxx.
