PLACERVILLE CA – March 17, 2018 – The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series continues to battle rain in the West, now forced to postpone next Wednesday’s Brad Sweet Placerville Short Track Showdown to September, when the Series returns to California for the Fall West Coast Swing.

STOCKTON, CA – March 16, 2018 —The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series has lost another event to Mother Nature, as weather has forced officials to cancel night one of the FVP Platinum Battery Western Spring Shootout at the Stockton Dirt Track tonight.The first day of the two-day event will not be made up, but racing will continue tomorrow, Saturday, March 17 as planned.

Outlaws Set to Tackle Stockton this Weekend with Running of FVP Platinum Battery Western Spring Shootout

CONCORD, NC - The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series is anxiously awaiting to continue its 40th Anniversary Season and will get to do so this weekend at the Stockton Dirt Track with the running of the FVP Platinum Battery Western Spring Shootout Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17. The unfortunate story of 2018 has been pesky Mother Nature taking four of the ten scheduled events, including the second night last weekend at Thunderbowl Raceway.

For the bulk of its lifespan — until 2007 — the World of Outlaws credited only the winner of the finale of any multiple-day show with an official win. Over the course of forty years, hundreds of races weren’t officially counted as full point shows, and the drivers who won those races weren’t credited with official World of Outlaws wins. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, the time has come to revise the victory totals. After much discussion and debate, the Series has retroactively credited all previous FULL-FIELD preliminary wins as official wins. Below is the revised list, calling out the change from previous counts.

Tickets Now on Sale for Outlaws Return to Lake Ozark Speedway

ELDON, Mo. — March 5, 2018 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series last visited Lake Ozark Speedway in 2007, with Craig Dollansky scoring the win. The inaugural Outlaws event at the third-mile was in 2005 and Tim Shaffer picked up that victory. Shaffer recently announced that he will be competing full-time with the series in 2018, marking the first time in over a decade he has been a full-time World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series driver.

Tim Shaffer: Full-Time Outlaw for 2018

CONCORD, NC – March 4, 2018 – The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series is thrilled to announce that The Steel City Outlaw Tim Shaffer and car owner Jeff Rudzik have signed on as full-time Outlaws for the 2018 40th Anniversary Season in the familiar No.49X machine.

Shaffer has been a staple with The Greatest Show on Dirt since scoring his first career victory 20 years ago in Elma, WA at Grays Harbor Raceway in 1998. A year later, Tim Shaffer was crowned the 1999 Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year with the World of Outlaws before spending the better part of the next decade as a Series regular.
