24 Laps of Domination

Following a heartbreaker on Saturday when Craig Dollansky dominated the competition by opening up a twelve second lead in the first 27 laps of the feature until the motor let loose, the Big Game Treestands #7 team were back to Volusia Speedway Park on Sunday to wrap up the World of Outlaws opening weekend.

Five nights in Florida: Elite Racing Kicks off the 2010 season at DIRT car Nationals

In the world of sports 5 is a number that holds a lot of significance. For example, there are five rings in the Olympic Game symbol. In professional wrestling, you have five seconds to break a hold. There have been numerous greats that have worn the number 5 including like Joe DiMaggio. This weekend the DIRT car nationals had its own 5 -- Five nights of 410 sprint car racing with the World of Outlaws and All Star Circuit of Champions. Jason Meyers and his Elite Racing team, fresh off their 2010 championship were ready to take on all 5 nights.

It seems odd, but the same applies when it comes to auto racing paint schemes. Only fans run to get new merchandise with the new car on it and rush to the track to get a glimpse of what the new car looks like. Elite Racing is going to cut the suspense by revealing their 2011 look before setting a tire on the track on Wednesday night for their first race of the season.
