Remembering Jason Johnson: #Forever41

June 24, 2018

Some things in life we hope to never face. The Sprint Car racing community is enduring one of those things with the passing of World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series driver Jason Johnson.

Currently fifth in Series championship points, Johnson’s accolades on the track were plentiful: 12 World of Outlaws wins, five American Sprint Car Series championships, over 250 career Sprint Car victories and, of course, the 2016 Knoxville Nationals championship.

Checkered flags aside, Johnson took immense pride in his off-track accomplishments. The growth and well-being of his five-year old son, Jaxx. The relationship with the love of his life, Bobbi. The connections he made with each and every fan, every weekend, doing what he loved — racing. Jason loved racing.
