Double Trouble: World of Outlaws Series’ Meet for FVP Outlaw Clay Classic June 27 and 28

World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car and Late Models Series join forces at Route 66 for a two-night event

The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series and World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series are set to converge in Illinois. The nation’s two premier dirt touring Series will cross paths during the second annual FVP Outlaw Clay Classic at the Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL on June 27 and 28. It’s the only chance for fans to see both World of Outlaws Series on consecutive nights this season before the World of Outlaws World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte in November.

Talented Outlaw field chasing down reigning champ Schatz

CONCORD, N.C. – May 11, 2017 – The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series has reached the quarter-mark of its 2017 campaign following the completion of its 20th event last weekend at 81 Speedway in Park City, KS. The Series had scheduled 24 of its 93 nights of competition to this point on the calendar, but two were cancelled and another two postponed to later dates, all due to rain.

Through the first three months of competition, Donny Schatz is off to an impressive start in search of his ninth series title. After a pair of wins to start the month of May, the driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing No.15 now has eight wins and a 60-point lead over the CJB Motorsports No.5 of David Gravel in the championship standings, a five-time winner himself this season. Both drivers have 17 top-10 finishes in 20 starts this season.

World of Outlaws and USAC Share Feature Status at Eldora

ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 11, 2017) – For just the third time in history, the country’s best sprint car drivers, both winged and traditional non-wing, converge this coming Friday and Saturday night at Eldora Speedway. The #LetsRaceTwo Doubleheader features the nation’s premier sprint car tours, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and United States Auto Club (USAC) Amsoil National Sprint Cars, on the same track on the same nights.

Both divisions will have a complete program each night highlighted by a 30-lap main event on both Friday and Saturday.

World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Return to New York State on May 21

May 3rd Make-Up Event at Riverside Speedway Postponed

The Midwest has seen record rainfall the last ten days. Unfortunately for the second time, the Bull Ring Outlaw Blitz at Riverside Speedway on May 3, has fallen victim to saturated grounds from the past ten days of rain compounded by rising river waters. The event has been rescheduled to Wednesday, October 18.

Close to Home: Clyde Knipp visits Missouri State Fair Speedway for first time with the World of Outlaws

SEDALIA, Mo. — May 1, 2017 —While Missouri State Fair Speedway is only about 40 miles from his hometown of California, Mo., World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series driver Clyde Knipp has never raced at the half-mile. The teenager will make his debut at the historic oval this week as the Outlaws return to Sedalia for the first time since 2012.

The Sedalia Show-Me State Showdown for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series hits the track on Friday, May 5. The event marks the series’ first trip to the historic half-mile since 2012.

Tickets on sale for inaugural World of Outlaws event at West Liberty Raceway in Iowa

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa — May 1, 2017 —Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural West Liberty Hawkeye 25, featuring the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at West Liberty Raceway in Iowa on Friday, June 23 and can be purchased online or by calling SLS Promotions at 815-344-2023. 

West Liberty Raceway will mark the eighth track in the state of Iowa that the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series has competed at dating back to the series inaugural season of 1978.
