World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series Prepared For Fall West Coast Swing   

Eight races in 16 days on the West Coast lie ahead of the Outlaws

CONCORD, NC - August 17, 2017 -  After a grueling tour through the Midwest, the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series returns to the West Coast for their annual fall swing, featuring races in Washington, Oregon and California.

The trip begins with the Outlaw Energy Showdown, a two-day event on the bullring at the Skagit Speedway. Last year, David Gravel and CJB Motorsports swept competition at the the high-banked3/8th mile that always provides elbows up racing. Other active World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series drivers with wins at Skagit includes Shane Stewart (2015) and Donny Schatz, who has three wins to his credit.

Outlaws Return to Black Hills Speedway

CONCORD, NC — August 17, 2017 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series returns to Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, SD for the Rushmore Outlaw Showdown on Friday, August 25 for the first time since 2011.

The Outlaws last visit at the semi-banked, 5/8th-mile oval came six years ago, however, the “Greatest Show on Dirt” has a very rich history at the Rapid City, SD Speedway, dating back to 1983. Donny Schatz, who has won the last three visits at the Speedway, will be aiming to add to his total and become the winningest Outlaw driver at the Black Hills Speedway. Up to Speed: Kraig Kinser back at Nodak Speedway for Magic City Showdown

MINOT, N.D. — August 16, 2017 — While it’s been a couple of years since he last raced at Nodak Speedway, past history dictates that Kraig Kinser shouldn’t have too much of a problem getting back up to speed at the track located at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in Minot. After all, he has finished in the top-10 in seven of his eight career starts at the track, with four of those being top-five performances.

World of Outlaws Returns to BMP Speedway in Billings on August 26

BILLINGS, MT — August 17, 2017 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series returns to BMP Speedway in Billings, Montana for the first time since 2008 on Saturday, August 26 for the Big Sky Brawl at Billings. The event will mark the series fourth visit and sixth race overall (including two preliminary features) at the semi-banked, three-eighths-mile. A total of seven drivers who are currently full-time competitors with World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series raced at Billings in 2008.

Joey Saldana was victorious in the last World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series event at BMP Speedway, which was then known as Billings Motorsports Park. The veteran driver charged from the seventh starting spot to pick up the win over eight-time and defending series champion Donny Schatz. Saldana steadily worked his way forward, taking the lead from Schatz on the 10th lap of the 25-lap race.

Favorite Track: River Cities Speedway tops list for Greg Wilson on the World of Outlaws Tour

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — August 16, 2017 —The famed Eldora Speedway in Ohio is Greg Wilson’s home track and while the historic oval is near the top of his list of venues he enjoys racing at, one track trumps even Eldora for him. That track is River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Wilson cites the high-banked bullring as his favorite track in the entire country. And he’s seen quite a few as he travels from coast-to-coast with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

The Big “R” Outlaw Shootout presented by Budweiser Rescheduled for October 16, 2017

CONCORD, NC — August 7, 2017 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series returns to Ransomville (NY) Speedway for the rescheduled Big “R” Outlaw Shootout presented by Budweiser on October 16, 2017.

The Big “R” Outlaw Shootout, originally scheduled for Sunday, July 23, was postponed due to a heavy rain storm that flooded the pit area at Ransomville Speedway just minutes before the event was scheduled to get underway. The Series returns to the speedway on October 16 to run the event in its entirety.

Ironman 55 at Federated Auto Parts Raceway Postponed

PEVELY, MO — August 5, 2017 — As the second World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series qualifying heat race was taking the track at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, a pesky rain set in over the Pevely, MO-area, forcing Officials to postpone the second night of the Ironman 55 event to a date to be announced at a later day.
